Supercharged, Carbon Fibre, PPI Razor Widebody GTR Audi R8 V10 5.2 Coupe

Previously owned by professional Alpine skier Jon Olsson

This 2011 Audi R8 Quattro, 5.2 V10 was customised by German Automotive design house ‘PPI Automotive Design GmbH’ and is 1 of 10 AUDI GTR Razor widebody models they ever produced.

This very unique R8 PPI Razor was commissioned by the famous professional alpine skier Jon Olsson and gained notoriety during the 2012 Gumball 3000 Rally.

The car was personalised with a full carbon fibre ‘widebody ‘kit and every original panel was replaced. Reportedly the carbon fibre is 600gram mesh and it is protected with 10 layers of lacquer.

This R8 PPI Razor also features a bespoke carbon fibre rear wing which doubles as a support for the ski box which sits on the roof and gives this car its iconic status.

The bespoke interior is made up of alcantara with contrasting red stitching and carbon-fibre, while Olsson's sports logo has been embossed on the seats and the carbon-fibre threshold plates. Other notable features inside the cabin include a new PPI steering wheel, lightweight racing seats and an aluminium designation plaque.

Once PPI had completed the cosmetic modifications, the car was then sent to ‘Stertman Autosport’ in Sweden who focused on the performance and handling upgrades.

The standard normally aspirated V10 aluminium 5.2-liter FSI V10 featuring dry-sump lubrication was rated at 525 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque when new. This was then uprated with a ‘Stasis’/ ‘VF Engineering’ Supercharger Kit, ‘Stasis’ Custom ECU Tune, ‘BMC’ Air Filter, and ‘Stertman Motorsport’ Catless Headers.

The suspension was also uprated to PSi Raceline (Öhlins) Audi R8 2-way suspension system followed by corner weight and balancing.

20” Black ADV1 forged wheels are wrapped with Michelin Pilot sport AS all weather tyres.

The cabin has a 2-way radio system including 2 antennas on the back of the car, however this is currently not wired up. The seller believes this can be easily rectified with new antenna cables if desired.

It also has speed camera and radar scanner detection system fitted which is fully operational.

Jon reportedly spent $400,000 building this car.

The unique R8 was then used in the 2012 Gumball 3000 rally in North America and travelled from New York to Los Angeles, stopping in Toronto, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Santa Fe and Las Vegas. Many photographs of the car at the rally can be found online.

It also features in online games such as

Forza Motorsport 7

Forza Horizon 4

‘Stertman Motorsports’, Sweden looked after the car when in Jon Olsson’s ownership.

The car was then sold to and used by the Boss of ‘Ucars Exclusive’ for a couple of years during which time, he had the car serviced by Audi Malmo in 2014 at 31,129 miles.

The car was then sold to the current owner in the UK later in 2014 and subsequently serviced as follows:

2015 at 31,521 miles by Regal Autosport in Southampton

2016 at 31,847 miles by Audi Bexley

Forming part of a collection, the car saw very little use between 2016 and 2020 but was professionally dry stored in a climate-controlled storage facility.

Since coming out of storage, the car has had a full service in anticipation of selling as follows:
