Porsche 911 993 Turbo

Porsche 993 Turbo brought up to Turbo S specification by the factory from new (ESTIMATE £140,000-160,000)

The current owner always loved the Porsche 993 Turbo and after much searching a friend subsequently found this 1998 car in Germany. It was of great interest because of its extremely special specification with many desirable extras. Apparently, the first owner was a dentist who specified the car “white on white” and with some serious options including a custom dashboard without an ashtray. Interestingly the options list was so enormous the Porsche Certificate of Conformity actually lists it as a Turbo S - although the car is now no ordinary Turbo S.

The current (second) owner imported the car into the UK in 2004 with 127,000 kilometres showing. A copy of the original German logbook is available. In 2005 the car went back to The Kassel Porsche Main Dealer in Germany - for a major service. Since then, it has been serviced by the same German car specialist in the UK and has only covered around 4,500 miles in the last 18 years.

So is this a Turbo S or a Turbo? The paperwork from Porsche states it’s an “S” but some of the details are a little different. The Turbo S items which are not on the car are merely cosmetic. They are:

Interior door openers with Turbo S script are not on the car (Custom leather interior door openers fitted instead as listed in the options)

Tool kit pouch in the front boot should have Turbo S script on it, it does not.

The Turbo S came with yellow brake callipers (the car has red callipers)

Front brake cooling holes are not on the car.

Turbo S Sill plates are not on the car (Custom Turbo sill plates fitted instead as listed in the options)

Standard Porsche options fitted are:

Heated front seats

Blaupunkt Toronto with CD Changer

92 litre Fuel tank (larger than standard)

Raised brake light

ESR

Sound package

Seat covers (rear draped left)

Seat covers (rear draped right)

Tinted screen top

Custom options are:

Handset for Nokia 2110i

Additional oil cooler (front)

Leather covered steering column casing

Turbo power Kit 331kW (bringing it up to the 450bhp Turbo S power)

Leather roof lining

Leather covered Door Openers

Leather sun-visors with make-up mirror illuminators

Leather covered Dashboard Trim

Leather covered Steering Wheel with Airbag Module

Stainless steel door entry guards with model logo

Lowered Turbo sports suspension

Side air vents on rear wings (Turbo S style)

The owner states that there are also three aftermarket items on the vehicle which were fitted soon after delivery from new:

RUF exhaust system

RUF rear bumper to house exhaust

BBS gold rim wheels

So, the options list on this car effectively brought it’s up to “S” specification, so much so that Porsche themselves actually listed it as a Turbo S. Either way you look at it, it is a very special car, totally unique and as the pictures demonstrate in lovely condition. Please note the private number plate is not included.

The car is located in North London.
